Fremont Police Make Arrest In Murder

Fremont Police have made an arrest in the violent death of a 28-year-old woman. Shana Hutchins was found in her home on Goldsboro Street around 6:30pm Saturday. Police Chief R.K. Rawlings would not say how Hutchins died nor release the motive. On Monday, Hutchins boyfriend, 35-year-old Antonia Artis of Wilson, was charged with murder. Rawlings said additional interviews are still being conducted and would not rule out the possibility of additional charges. The SBI and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office are assisting in the investigation.
