Waste Products Spill From Overturned Truck

This Friday afternoon accident on Shotwell Road , at the Johnston-Wake County line, caused quiet a smell. Waste products spilled from the overturned City of Raleigh truck. The highway was blocked for more than two hours while the wreckage was towed away and the waste cleaned up. The driver was briefly entrapped in the wreckage. He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Clayton Fire, Clayton EMS, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, and the NC Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
